Spray foam insulation provides an airtight, seamless barrier that improves energy efficiency, reduces noise, and prevents air and moisture leaks. It is ideal for sealing walls, ceilings, windows, doors, and other construction areas.

Yes. When applied correctly with proper protective equipment, spray foam insulation is safe for indoor use. Always follow safety instructions and ensure good ventilation during application.

For the best and most consistent results, we recommend using our Bigrizy Guard Foam Gun, which is designed to deliver optimal control, even coverage, and precise flow with this product. To properly maintain performance, clean the gun after each use with our Foam Cleaner.

Apply on clean, dry surfaces, maintain correct temperature, use steady spraying, and allow full curing. For a complete step-by-step guide, please check our How to Use instructions.

The exact number depends on your total square footage and desired application thickness. You can quickly calculate the required amount by entering your measurements into our spray foam coverage calculator.

The ideal thickness depends on your region’s required R-value. For accurate guidance, please check the recommended R-values for your specific climate zone using the link.

Yes, our aquarium-grade silicone is specially formulated for freshwater and saltwater aquariums. It is 100% non-toxic after curing, making it safe for fish and aquatic plants.

Aquarium silicone typically cures within 24–48 hours depending on the thickness and humidity. Always wait until it is fully cured before filling the tank with water.

What is spray foam insulation?

Spray foam insulation is a material that expands and hardens to create an air-tight thermal barrier, helping reduce heat loss and improve energy efficiency.

Is spray foam insulation worth it?

Yes. It provides high insulation performance, air sealing, moisture resistance, and long-term energy savings.

What is the R-value of spray foam insulation?

Closed-cell spray foam typically has an R-value of R-4 to R-5 per inch.

How long does spray foam take to dry?

It typically dries enough to touch within minutes and full curing time is usually 24 hours depending on temperature and humidity.

How to remove spray foam?

While still wet, it can be removed with foam cleaner.

How to remove cured spray foam?

Once cured, it must be removed mechanically by scraping, cutting, or sanding.

How to remove spray foam from skin?

Use acetone or foam cleaner while the foam is still fresh, then wash with warm soapy water. If cured, gently peel or scrape it off over time.

How to get spray foam out of clothes?

Let it fully cure, then scrape or cut it off. Solvents may damage fabrics.

Can you paint spray foam insulation?

Yes, once fully cured you can paint it with most standard paints.

Yes, when applied properly and allowed to cure fully.

Is spray foam flammable?

Yes, it can burn if exposed to open flame.

Is spray foam waterproof?

Closed-cell spray foam is water-resistant and can act as a moisture barrier.

Can mice chew through spray foam?

Yes, mice can chew through it if they want to access an area.

Do you need fiberglass insulation if you already use spray foam?

Bigrizy Guard spray foam already provides excellent air sealing and strong thermal insulation on its own, so extra fiberglass is usually unnecessary.

How much surface area can one spray foam kit insulate?

20sq ft per can at 1" thick

Is this insulation a closed-cell or open-cell formulation?

Bigrizy Guard QuickCoat is closed-cell foam.

Quickcoat closed-cell foam can last 25 years without losing performance.

You can be home after 12 hours of the application.

Can spray foam insulation create mold problems?

No. Closed-cell foam resists moisture and actually helps prevent mold.

How long does the odor remain after spraying?

The scent fades within a few hours, completely gone after full curing.

What safety equipment is recommended during application?

Gloves, goggles, protective suit, and a respirator.

Is this foam suitable for soffits with small ventilation holes?

Yes, but seal only where air leaks—avoid blocking ventilation.

Is this foam suitable for outdoor wall applications?

Yes. spray foam performs well outdoors when protected from UV.

Will this foam adhere properly to galvanized metal surfaces?

Yes, it bonds well to clean, dry galvanized metal.

Is spray foam effective for lowering radiant heat on metal structures?

Yes, Bigrizy Guard Spray Foam is very effective at reducing radiant heat on metal surfaces. When applied to the underside of a metal roof, steel gazebo or aluminum structure, it creates a strong thermal barrier that lowers heat transfer and helps keep the area cooler. For the best long term performance, it is recommended to cover the foam with plywood, OSB or drywall to protect it from direct sunlight. If covering is not possible, the foam can be painted with a UV resistant exterior paint. This helps maintain durability and prevents surface damage.

Why is Bigrizy Guard Spray Foam superior compared to conventional insulation?

It provides air sealing, high R-value, moisture resistance, strong adhesion, and long-term durability all in one product.

Do I need to remove existing insulation before spraying foam, and what is the proper method?

If the old insulation is wet, damaged, or moldy, remove it. Dry, stable insulation may stay. Removal is done by pulling out batts or vacuuming loose-fill.
